Customs data showed that the import of grain at Ningbo Port decreased by 54% in May

According to the statistics of Ningbo customs, in May this year, the import of grain at Ningbo port was 107000 tons, 54% less than the same period last year (the same below), which has been reduced year-on-year for three consecutive months; The average import price was 3990 yuan per ton, up 14%, rising year-on-year for eight consecutive months. Main characteristics of grain import at Ningbo port in May:

1、 Brazil, ASEAN and the European Union are the top three sources of barley imports from the European Union

Imports from Brazil were 85000 tons, down 21.5%, all of which were soybeans; Imports from ASEAN were 8786 tons, up 1.3 times, all of which were rice and rice; 6924.5 tons of grain were imported from the European Union, an increase of 102.2 times. The import was converted from wheat to barley, accounting for 93.9% of the total import volume at Ningbo port.

2、 Imports of wheat increased by more than 30%, while imports of soybeans, rice, rice and barley decreased

Customs data showed that in May, Ningbo Port imported 90000 tons of soybeans, a decrease of 18.7%; 9540 tons of imported rice and rice, a decrease of 35.7%; The import of barley was 6924.5 tons, a decrease of 92.9%, accounting for 99.9% of the grain imports at Ningbo port. Customs data showed that over the same period, the import of wheat was 23.9 tons, an increase of 35.6%.

3、 Except for soybean, the average import price of major grain varieties generally rose, with the average import price of wheat rising 1.9 times

In May, the average import prices of soybean, rice, rice and barley at Ningbo Port were 4117 yuan, 3588.8 yuan and 2860.4 yuan per ton, down 12.6%, up 44.7% and 21% respectively. Customs data showed that the average import price of wheat was 7956 yuan per ton, up 1.9 times.

4、 Foreign invested enterprises are the main force of grain import

According to the customs data, in May, foreign-invested enterprises at Ningbo Port imported 88000 tons of grain, a decrease of 3.1%, accounting for 82.2% of the total grain imports at the port that month (the same below); Private enterprises imported 13000 tons, a decrease of 89.4%, accounting for 11.9%; State owned enterprises imported 6332.2 tons, a decrease of 70.8%.
