Myanmar aquatic products live shrimps, live crabs, etc. are expected to resume exports after the restart of the air line

Myanmar aquatic products such as live shrimps and live crabs have already been favored by consumers in foreign markets. However, due to the impact of the new crown epidemic, exports have been greatly reduced since April 2020, but exports have not been completely stopped. Now once the foreign flights are restarted, these aquatic products will be expected to resume export.

On the national side, in the aquatic products and meat production industries, in addition to initially trying its best to meet domestic consumer demand, it also encourages the expansion of exports to foreign countries. Private entrepreneurs also actively cooperated and worked hard to open up foreign markets when competing with countries in the region. Within a few years, they had obtained the domestic market in China and the Hong Kong market, and delivered live shrimp and live crabs to these markets. , Obtained a certain amount of foreign exchange income. Now when exporting to these markets, the export of Myanmar aquatic products is temporarily suspended due to the difficulties of flights and airplanes.

In terms of private aquatic product consumption in Myanmar, people prefer to enjoy freshwater products, while customers in foreign markets are more interested in aquatic products. Therefore, marine fish, shrimps and crabs are all from Myeik and Gaodong at the southern tip of Myanmar. Kaw-thaung) and other regions are transported to Yangon by plane directly to relevant foreign markets. During this period, I tried to transport these aquatic products by land vehicles. After all, because of the difficulty of the road, the mortality rate of aquatic organisms was too high, so I finally had to give up trying to export these aquatic products by land. Currently, there are two aquatic workers in Myanmar who export by air. Kinds of live shrimp species and soft-shell, hard-shell crab species, etc.
