Approved by the National Aquatic Original and Improved Species Approval Committee, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently announced the promotion of rainbow trout "Shuike No. 1", Hehua carp "Ruyuan No. 1", Siniperca chuatsi "Guangqing No. 1", and Jian Carp No. 2, Semi-smooth Tongue Sole "Sony You No. 1", Hyriopsis "Shenzhe No. 3", Philippine Clam "Zebra Clam No. 2", Wrinkled Abalone "Xunshan No. 1", Clam "Kezhe No. 2", Kelp There are 11 new aquatic species including "Zhongbao No. 1" and full-female Siniperca chuatsi "Dingyu No. 1".

It is understood that in accordance with the "Fisheries Law of the People's Republic of China", "Aquatic Origin and Improved Species Verification Measures" and other legal systems, the state encourages and supports the breeding and promotion of excellent aquatic varieties. New species of aquatic products must be approved by the National Aquatic Original and Improved Species Examination Committee, and be promoted after an announcement by the fishery administrative department of the State Council.

Up to now, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has released a total of 240 new aquatic species. Among them, carp, crucian, tilapia, Chinese prawns, scallops and kelp have used the new breeds independently bred, and the independently bred Macrobrachium rosenbergii , Channel catfish, Penaeus vannamei, the domestic market share reached 60%, 40% and 30% respectively. The continuous innovation of aquatic product species in our country provides an important source guarantee for the high-quality development of aquaculture industry.
