The last cargo ship carrying the "chartered export" business was fully loaded with more than 6,800 tons of juice, heading towards the destination at full speed.

In the new year, the business of "export by chartered ship" of agricultural products has been promoted, and the situation is gratifying.

"The two batches of vegetables exported by chartered ships last year solved our big problem. This time we declared and exported 70 tons of frozen spinach." Chen Fuchun, manager of the foreign trade department of Qingdao Huiwang Import and Export Co., Ltd., introduced that the current global epidemic situation is still Severely, the export of refrigerated agricultural products by chartered ships may become the norm.

Under the "export charter" mode, the owner or agent directly leases the ship for exporting goods, and the freight is charged according to the ship's cabin capacity or deadweight tonnage. In this model, the shipping freight is fixed in advance in the form of "consolidation", which is less affected by the fluctuation of the market freight rate. At the same time, the "chartered export" avoids the congested large foreign ports, and chooses the destination ports are mostly small ports, and the logistics situation is relatively ideal.

Because of this, the "export charter" model is widely welcomed by agricultural product exporters. In 2021, Rongcheng Port will organize a total of 6 "chartered ship exports", exporting more than 49,000 tons of refrigerated agricultural products, saving more than 15 million US dollars in various expenses, benefiting more than a dozen export enterprises.

It is understood that the export of refrigerated agricultural products has to go through multiple logistics links, but it is necessary to ensure the whole cold chain. To this end, the on-site customs comprehensively used optimized supervision modes such as "advance declaration", "direct loading upon arrival", and "shipping on arrival at the same time" to facilitate customs clearance throughout the entire process.

During the shipping process, from the warehouse of the enterprise to the refrigerated cabin of the ship, vehicle dispatching, terminal equipment, loading and unloading personnel, various elements are smoothly coordinated, and the export products are loaded as they arrive.

"After several cooperation improvements last year, the current shipping process is very efficient, and it can be shortened by 1/3 of the normal time." Zhou Haiying, deputy general manager of Rongcheng East China International Shipping Agency Co., Ltd., who organized the charter, introduced that the customs The ship supervision process has been optimized, and enterprises have been guided to complete the import and export supervision procedures for "export by chartered ships".

The export of agricultural products involves thousands of fruit and vegetable farmers, and is related to the "money bag" of farmers. The "export by chartered ship" model has opened up a "green channel" for the export of agricultural products.

"We have created a brand, and large-scale agricultural export enterprises in Shandong, Henan, and Shaanxi have become our stable customers." Zhou Haiying said that the shipping schedule for the next "chartered export" has also been determined.
