In order to assist Vietnamese food supply places, enterprises and cooperatives to find partners, business opportunities and opportunities to export their products to African countries, on June 14th and 15th, the Trade Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam held offline 2022 Vietnam - African Food Trade Matchmaking.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade revealed that the meeting was divided into plenary meetings and various business matchmaking meetings. During the plenary session, representatives of the commercial offices of Vietnamese embassies in African countries introduced the potential, needs and opportunities of Vietnamese food, fish and other aquatic products in the African market.

After the plenary session, a trade matchmaking meeting between Vietnamese and African companies will be held. This is a good opportunity for Vietnamese food companies to promote their products, find potential partners, and understand the market and technical barriers of African countries.

Through various trade promotion activities, it is found that most African countries give high praise and confidence in the quality of Vietnamese food.

In particular, the African market has a very high demand for imports of various food products, so there is a huge space for Vietnamese food products to be exported to this market.

Among Vietnam's main export commodities to Africa, rice exports account for 20% of Vietnam's total exports to Africa, and the export potential is still large. It is worth noting that coffee, pepper are also potential export commodities.
