2022-06-20

Vietnam has advised the General Administration of Customs of China to complete the process of signing a protocol allowing Vietnamese durians to be exported to China, according to Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Plant Protection Agency on June 15. At present, the Vietnamese side has completed all technical documents, including the English and Vietnamese versions of the protocol, and sent them to the Chinese side. It is only necessary to wait for the Chinese side to agree and complete the procedures, and to propose a time for the two sides to sign the protocol.

In order to export durian fruit to the Chinese market, Huang Zhong, director of the Plant Protection Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, said that enterprises and plantations need to meet three basic requirements, namely, there are suitable methods to eliminate the pest problems that China is concerned about; compliance with food safety Hygienic requirements, no pesticide residues exceeding the standard; meet the packaging and packaging information requirements.
