The first domestic reception ceremony of African avocados was held in Beijing on August 23. Experts at the meeting pointed out that this is the first time that African fresh avocados have been exported to China. It is a phased achievement of China's import of fresh African fruits, marking the continuous deepening of the international trade in agricultural products between China and Africa.

Since the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in 2018, 25 kinds of agricultural and food products from 14 African countries including Kenya, South Africa, Benin, and Egypt have been approved for export to China. At the 8th Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in November 2021, China announced the establishment of a "green channel" for the export of African agricultural products to China.

Wu Peng, director-general of the African Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the entry of fresh African avocados into the Chinese market is a phased achievement of China's import of fresh African fruits. South African red wine, Ethiopian coffee... More and more African specialty products have entered the Chinese market.

At the same time, the company will work with its partners to build an African digital supply chain platform to realize the traceability and quality control of African agricultural products, and export China's digital concept to Africa.
