Import and export data show that Vietnam's exports of marine products increased by 80% year-on-

According to the news from SeafoodMedia on October 10, the import and export data of the Vietnam Association of Fishery Exporters and Producers showed that in August this year, the export volume of Vietnamese products in the South China Sea was 405 million dollars, an increase of 80% year on year. The accumulated export volume in the first eight months was 2.8 billion dollars, an increase of 33% year on year.

According to the import and export data, Vietnamese seafood exports mainly include: tuna (26%); Squid and octopus (17%); Crabs and other crustaceans (5%); Bivalve mollusks (4%), other sea fish (48%), and other mollusks.

According to the import and export data, in the first eight months of 2022, the export of tuna will grow fastest, reaching 55%, to $730 million, and the export of crustaceans and cephalopods will increase by 37% and 36% respectively. The export of bivalve molluscs increased by 13%, the export of other sea fish increased by 23%, and the export of other molluscs decreased by 20%.

According to the import and export data, the processing and export of wild seafood are concentrated in Ho Chi Minh City, Qinghe Province, Paddy Taunton Province, Longan Province and Jianjiang Province.
