Ruan Weishun, general manager of Tianci Group, said that after the EU Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) came into force, Tianci was selected as the first unit to export rice to the EU market. In September 2022, a batch of 500 tons of Vietnam Tianci Rice Group's "Vietnam Rice" brand rice will be put on the market for the first time in the chain supermarket system of E. Leclerc, France's largest retail group.
Through the supermarket chain system Leclerc and Carrefour, "Vietnam Rice" brand rice not only reaches French consumers, but also sells to the German and Dutch markets, Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation Report.
After the first order, EU partners continue to order the next batch of rice. Up to now, the pre order volume in 2023 has reached 400000 tons. This is a positive signal, demonstrating that Vietnamese rice brands are welcomed by EU consumers.
According to the plan, the orders currently signed with the EU will be delivered in the second quarter of 2023.
In order to ensure investment funds for exporting high-quality rice production, Tianci Group signed financing loans worth 100 million dollars with seven banks (one Vietnamese bank and six foreign banks) within three years, Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation reported.
