According to Vietnamese customs data, by the middle of October 2022, Vietnam's exports of salsa had reached 2.06 billion US dollars, an increase of 60% over the same period in 2021. It is estimated that by the end of October 2022, Vietnam's salsa exports will increase by about 80% over 2021. China accounts for about 30% of Vietnam's total exports of croaker. According to customs data, the amount of croaker imported from Vietnam this year is about 654 million US dollars, an increase of 110% over the same period last year.

According to customs data, since 2020, China has surpassed the United States and maintained Vietnam's position as the largest importer of salmon. During this period, China has maintained a rapid growth rate in the import of Vietnamese salmon, with the import volume nearly twice that of last year.

According to the customs data in October, Vietnam exported about 64.2 million dollars to Warburg Salmon, an increase of 105% over the same period in 2021. Among them, 75% of the frozen Basha fillets were exported to China, nearly 48 million dollars. Frozen/frozen fresh croaker (original croaker) accounts for about 24%, nearly 16 million dollars. According to customs data, by the end of October, China had imported about 215000 tons of frozen salmon.

In the first nine months of this year, the average export price of Vietnamese salsa per kilogram was US $2.28. The export price in September reached 2.73 USD/kg, the highest level since this year. Due to the increase of market demand in the third and fourth quarters of the domestic market, there was also a demand for replenishment before the year, but the supply of raw materials for salmon produced in Vietnam decreased, which may be the reason for the rise of Vietnamese salmon prices.

In the first nine months of this year, there were about 400 enterprises in Vietnam trading with China in salsa products. Vietnam Yonghuan Group accounts for about 16%. In addition, Van Duc Tien Giang Food, Navico, I.D.I Corp, DATHACO, GODACO Seafood, TG FISHERY, Cadovimex IIand Ntsf Seafood and other enterprises also occupy a large market share

In terms of aquatic products trade with China, Vietnam's geographical location has unique advantages. Salmon products produced in Vietnam are very attractive to Chinese importers. China will still be the most important export market of Vietnamese salsa in the case of sluggish consumption in European and American markets this year and next.

At the press conference of the joint prevention and control mechanism of the State Council, it was also said that the relevant departments would promptly notify and urge the rectification of all forms of simplification, one size fits all and "layer by layer" behavior, and those who failed to implement the rectification would be held accountable according to law and regulations.

With the continuous optimization of epidemic prevention and control measures, the epidemic control of the future frozen product market and logistics transportation is expected to be more accurate and humane, and the circulation of frozen products is expected to be more smooth.
