According to Huacheng's import and export data observation report, a recent study conducted by the agricultural enterprise department of the Federation of Industries of Sao Paulo, a major Brazilian trade association, "Coffee agricultural enterprises: production, transformation and opportunities" pointed out that Brazil, as the world's largest coffee producer and exporter, still has a lot of room for expansion in the international coffee market.

According to the statistics of UN Comtrade, the total import trade of coffee beans, roasted coffee, instant coffee and other derivative products in the global market in 2020 will be 38 billion US dollars (about 1978 billion reais), 14% of which will come from Brazil, according to the observation report of the import and export data of Huacheng.

According to the observation of Huacheng's import and export data, Brazil's main coffee export markets include the United States (accounting for 17% of its import market share), Germany (25%), Italy (26%), Japan (25%) and Belgium (39%).

The study organizers stressed that "despite this, we still have the opportunity to continue to expand our share in these markets. But to achieve this goal, we need to establish a broader network of tariff agreements for processed products, import more raw coffee from other sources for processing, and take a series of other measures to promote Brazil's export of more processed products (with high added value)."

In Brazil, Fiesp believes that the industry should continue to stimulate the creation of innovative sales models in traditional household consumption models, such as enhancing practicality, improving product quality and improving user experience. In the consumption outside the home, the role of coffee products in social ties can be strengthened. The agency also encourages coffee quality certification and names various traditional or special coffee products according to the geographical region of the origin to stimulate product consumption.

In addition, according to the observation of Huacheng's import and export data, Brazil currently has 264000 coffee plantations, 1050 coffee product processing plants and 826 wholesale commercial institutions specializing in coffee distribution. These enterprises employed nearly 585000 employees, playing an important role in creating employment and increasing income.

In 2020, the industry will pay 1.44 billion reais of wages and benefits, and processing enterprises alone will provide more than 760 million reais of wages and more than 468 million reais of employee labor and social expenses. The research shows that this will help promote the development of the cities where the enterprises in this industry are located. Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation Report.
