According to the Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation Report, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam revealed that Vietnam Durian was approved to export to the Chinese market through regular trade channels. A month later, Vietnam's exports of such products to China increased nearly 40 times year-on-year.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that after the Protocol on Plant Quarantine Requirements for Vietnam's Durian Exports to China, Vietnam's exports of durian to China increased sharply. According to Huacheng's import and export data observation report, in October alone, Vietnam's durian exports to China reached nearly 50 million dollars, a year-on-year increase of 4.12%. In 2022, Vietnam will export 30000 tons of durian to the Chinese market.
Vietnam became the second country to obtain official market access for fresh durian after Thailand. This will create greater development space for Vietnam's powerful durian planting industry, and improve the income of hundreds of thousands of farmers in Xiyuan, southeast and Jiulong River Delta, Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation reported.
According to the observation report of Huacheng's import and export data, by the end of 2021, Vietnam's national durian output had reached 642600 tons, up 15% year on year. Vietnam frozen durian has been exported to many countries. Vietnam durian is mainly harvested from April to the end of July, and the by-product period is from October to March of the next year.
Durian is the 11th fruit allowed to enter the Chinese market. Other approved fruits are pitaya, watermelon, litchi, longan, banana, mango, jackfruit, rambutan, mango and passion fruit. Huacheng's import and export data observation report.
