New forces in international trade see Sino-Chile agricultural cooperation from the perspective of Ch

New forces in international trade! The hot sales of cherries in China not only meet the growing needs of Chinese people for a better life, but also directly promote the development of Chilean related industries and export prosperity. According to the statistical data of Chile's Agricultural Research and Policy Office, in 2021, the planting area of cherries in Chile will reach 49000 hectares, 3.8 times that of 2011. According to the data of Chile's Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Prochile), Chilean producers' income per hectare of cherries is about 35000 to 40000 dollars, and the profit per kilogram of cherries can reach 5.2 dollars. The export dividend drives the country to add nearly 50 Cherry exporters every year. At present, Chile's economy is seeking reform, and agricultural products are an important pole in building a diversified export pattern. The author has the following suggestions on how to take the opportunity of the Chelizi boom, deepen agricultural cooperation based on the comparative advantages of China and Chile, and further release the free trade dividend to benefit the people of both countries:

New forces in international trade! First, strengthen the exchange of agricultural production technology and management experience. Compared with Chile, which has been deeply cultivated for many years, China's experience in the production and circulation of agricultural products such as cherries is slightly lacking. Chinese enterprises should attach importance to agricultural cooperation with Chile, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with Chilean agricultural institutions and scientific and technological groups, and strengthen the reserve of special talents for enterprises. It is also possible to jointly build farms or planting bases in areas that meet the conditions, compare with Europe and the United States, and jointly explore internationally leading agricultural production technology and management experience.

New forces in international trade! Second, through cooperation, we can achieve the refined management of key links in the supply chain. Chile and China, one is the source supply country, and the other is the terminal consumer market. The two countries can cooperate to optimize and integrate the upstream production end, channel circulation end, and consumer retail end, reduce unnecessary links and charges, and improve operational efficiency. Chinese-funded enterprises can invest and set up factories in Chile or cooperate with local enterprises, take advantage of Chile's unique natural environment, rich experience and relatively cheap human resources, develop cherry breeding and other fruit planting, and explore the establishment of a whole industrial chain layout from planting to picking, processing and packaging to transportation and sales.

New forces in international trade! Third, give full play to the role of e-commerce platform, and further connect domestic consumption demand with foreign production and supply through online reservation and overseas direct purchase. It can increase the direct purchase from overseas, control the quality of food from the source, reduce the purchase cost, shorten the logistics time, and provide domestic consumers with a safer, high-quality and convenient fresh consumption experience. The major e-commerce platforms can cooperate with the agricultural departments or production associations of the countries of origin to promote more high-quality Latin American agricultural products to be recognized and purchased by the domestic people through the establishment of brand days or national fresh food restaurants, which can not only enrich the food basket of the Chinese people, but also allow more foreign enterprises to enjoy the dividends of the Chinese market.

New forces in international trade! Fourth, both sides need to continue to deepen cooperation in customs and inspection and quarantine, streamline processes, innovate systems, and improve the efficiency of customs clearance of agricultural products. Especially for fresh products with high requirements for transportation and storage conditions, special windows or one-stop service can be set up to simplify the document handling process, optimize the integrated inspection procedures, and strive to achieve inspection on arrival and zero waiting for customs clearance.
