According to Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation, on May 17th, Baling Petrochemical and Anta (China) Co., Ltd. held a strategic cooperation agreement signing and unveiling ceremony for the "Baling Anta Shoe Materials Innovation Joint Laboratory" in Jinjiang, Fujian.

Yan Gang, General Manager of Baling Petrochemical, and Zhu Shuanghong, Vice President of Anta, attended and signed the contract on behalf of both parties. This is the first time that Baling Petrochemical has jointly built a laboratory with downstream enterprises, promoting comprehensive, long-term, and stable cooperation between the two sides.

In 2018, Baling Petrochemical and Anta signed a cooperative development framework agreement, and the two sides cooperated on the application of new styrene based thermoplastic elastomers (thermoplastic rubber) in shoe materials. In 2020, Baling Petrochemical and Anta jointly launched a project at Sinopec to develop key materials for sports shoes and soles.

In 2021, the new elastic material ES series products developed by Baling Petrochemical were widely used in sports shoes. This series of products can meet the production and application of high-end ultra-light foam sports shoes, with comprehensive performance comparable to similar foreign products. Yan Gang stated that the joint laboratory construction will fully leverage the advantages of both parties, accelerate the research and development, promotion, and application of new materials in the field of shoe materials, and achieve a close integration of "production, sales, research and application". The joint laboratory should focus on market demand, strengthen the development of new materials, and utilize Baling Petrochemical's existing green and environmentally friendly thermoplastic rubber, epoxy resin, and polyamide materials to jointly tackle key problems in shoe material applications. It should also establish a joint laboratory for shoe material innovation, providing technical and raw material support for the upgrading of Anta shoe materials. Zhu Shuanghong stated that the shoe material innovation joint laboratory jointly built by Anta and Baling Petrochemical bears the scientific research responsibility of Anta's core material innovation incubation base.
