A total of 3,546 workers at Pouyuen Vietnam, a subsidiary of the Taiwanese-funded enterprise Pouyuen Vietnam, have to temporarily suspend work for 7 days starting today. These workers are all from Tien Giang province and had to take a temporary rest in order to cope with the authorities' epidemic investigation.

The online media Vietnam Express (VnExpress) reported that these workers work in different departments and units. The temporary suspension of workers will affect the business operations of the company, causing other employees to work overtime or reduce production.

Vietnam’s Bao Yuan Shoe Factory has the largest number of employees in Ho Chi Minh City’s enterprises, with a total of 56,000 employees, of which about 13500 are from the neighboring provinces of Tien Giang, Long An, and Tongta ( DongThap, Ben Tre, and Tay Ninh, these workers from other provinces have to commute to work on the company’s transportation vehicles.

According to the report, more than 600 company transportation vehicles are responsible for transporting these workers every day. In order to comply with epidemic prevention measures, the number of passengers in each company transportation vehicle cannot exceed 20 people.

According to the Ministry of Health of Vietnam, from 18:00 on June 24 to 6:00 am on June 25, there were 91 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Vietnam, including 79 local cases.

From 6:00 to 12:00 on June 25, there were 112 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Vietnam, including 109 local cases.

From 12:00 to 18:00 on June 25, there were 102 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Vietnam, including 94 local cases.

As a result, according to the Ministry of Health of Vietnam, from 18:00 on June 24 to 18:00 on June 25, Vietnam added 305 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia, including 282 local cases. As of 19:00 on June 25, Vietnam had a total of 12,788 local confirmed cases and 1,749 imported cases from abroad.
