According to Watson & Band Import and Export Data Watch, the export value of Pakistani leather manufacturers fell by 2.91% between July and August 2022, with a total export value of 103.8 million US dollars.

According to import and export data, tanned leather exports generated $31 million during the period, an increase of 8.52% and 13.14% in value and volume, respectively, compared to the first two months of the 2021-2022 fiscal year.

In terms of footwear, according to import and export data, from July to August 2022, Pakistan exported a total of 4.12 million pairs of shoes, generating a revenue of $32.4 million. Compared with the same period in the previous fiscal year, the sales volume increased by 56.66%. , exports increased by 20.91%.

According to import and export data, leather shoe exports account for about 84.4% of Pakistan's total footwear exports. In July-August, Pakistan exported 1.86 million pairs of leather shoes worth about $28 million. The import and export data showed a 40.12% increase in export volume and a 22.53% increase in export value compared to the same month in the previous fiscal year. Canvas and other footwear also reported significant increases in exports during this period.
