In the first 10 months of this year, the footwear and handbag industry is about to achieve the annual export target of 25 billion dollars. Based on the effective development of the export market, Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation reported that in the first 10 months of 2022, the export amount of shoes and handbags reached 23.345 billion dollars. Among them, the export of handbags reached USD 3.378 billion, up 39.4% year on year; Footwear exports reached US $20.057 billion, up 40.9% year on year. With an average monthly export volume of 2.2 billion dollars, the footwear and handbag industry's export volume in the remaining months of 2022 can exceed 4 billion dollars. This is a solid foundation for the annual export volume to reach 27 billion US dollars, Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation reported.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the enterprises in the industry believe that although the export volume has increased sharply year on year, the growth momentum of new orders has slowed down in recent months.

Orders from importers continued to decrease due to the impact of rising inflation rates in major export markets such as the United States, the European Union, Japan and South Korea, while the inventory of goods in the retail system was still at a high level, Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation reported.
