International trade has developed steadily, RCEP has taken effect in Indonesia, and clothing, shoes and boots have gradually zero tariffs!

According to the Ministry of Commerce, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) has entered into force for Indonesia on January 2. So far, 14 of the 15 members of the RCEP have entered into force. After the entry into force of RCEP for Indonesia, in accordance with the commitments of the RCEP agreement, China and Indonesia will implement the tax rate of the RCEP agreement mutually, which will benefit the development of international trade enterprises.

Under the RCEP, Indonesia, on the basis of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, has granted zero-tariff treatment to more than 700 products of tax number to China, including some auto parts, motorcycles, televisions, clothing, shoes and plastic products. Among them, some auto parts, motorcycles, and some clothing products will achieve zero tariff immediately from January 2, and other products will be gradually reduced to zero tariff within a certain transition period, which will benefit the development of international trade enterprises.

On the basis of the China-ASEAN Free Trade International Trade Agreement, China will also reduce taxes on pineapple juice and canned, coconut juice, pepper, diesel, paper products, some chemicals and auto parts produced in Indonesia, and further open the international trade market.
