Capacitors are the basic components of the electronic information industry and have a very wide range of applications in electronic devices. As small as children’s toys, mobile phones and computers, as large as spacecraft, capacitors are inseparable. At present, Chinese manufacturers can basically guarantee the supply of low-end capacitor products, but high-precision, high-reliability capacitors still rely on imports, and some materials and core manufacturing equipment for capacitors need to be imported.

It is understood that Japanese and American manufacturers currently occupy the leading position in the capacitor industry. Among the top ten capacitor manufacturers in the world, 6 are Japanese manufacturers, 2 are the United States, and 1 are Taiwan and South Korea. Judging from the global market share of capacitors, Japanese manufacturers account for approximately 44% of the global market share. Japan's Panasonic Corporation controls 90% to 95% of the global aluminum capacitor supply chain. In contrast, my country's capacitor industry shows the characteristics of large but not refined, large but not strong.

Ning Liancai pointed out that Chinese capacitor manufacturers are facing double squeeze from upstream and downstream of the supply chain. The equipment and materials used to produce high-end capacitors need to be imported, and due to the recent sharp increase in the price of raw materials, the cost burden of capacitor manufacturers is heavier than before. At the same time, the demand for high-end capacitors from downstream customers in the industry chain is not strong, resulting in poor connection in the high-end capacitor market, and capacitor manufacturers lack the bargaining power to deliver. Under the double squeeze of upstream and downstream, the profit margin of domestic capacitor manufacturers has been greatly compressed.

At present, many manufacturers in my country are actively deploying high-end capacitor raw materials such as tantalum powder and internal electrode paste, which is expected to break the foreign monopoly. However, to adapt to high-end downstream industries, such as communications, medical equipment, automobiles and other fields, domestic manufacturers still need to improve their own technical capabilities, especially from miniaturization, chip, high temperature resistance, high humidity resistance, high specific energy, and high frequency. , High reliability and other improvements.
