China's wind power equipment manufacturing has strong competitiveness and leads the development

2021-07-26

Carbon peak and carbon neutralization are a broad and profound economic and social systematic change. At the critical moment of global economic and social change, the goal of "carbon neutralization" has further accelerated the pace of transformation and innovation.

"The new energy international investment and construction alliance undertakes the important mission of integrating industrial resources, strengthening industrial cooperation, jointly developing overseas new energy markets and promoting China's new energy industry to" go global ". The enterprises and institutions participating in the key links of the industrial chain such as design consulting, finance and insurance, engineering projects and production and manufacturing of the new energy international investment alliance are leaders in the industry. They master the latest technology, the strongest resources and the greatest potential of the industry. As a whole, the Alliance can provide customers with "one-stop" professional services in the whole life cycle from investment and construction to operation. " Shi Yonghong, vice president of China Chamber of Commerce for import and export of mechanical and electrical products, said at the first and fourth alliance conference and business docking meeting of the new energy international investment alliance recently that the alliance conference aims to practice the green and low-carbon development strategy, explore practical cases through in-depth exchanges, promote ecosystem construction, build a green and low-carbon ecosystem and actively contribute to carbon neutralization, Inject new impetus into high-quality development in the new era.

According to Shi Yonghong, after nearly a decade of rapid development, China's photovoltaic industry has developed from "raw materials, equipment and market" to "manufacturing level, photovoltaic installed capacity and photovoltaic power generation" in the world, forming a complete industrial chain and leading the development of the global photovoltaic industry.

In the first quarter of 2021, China's PV module output exceeded 30GW, a year-on-year increase of 40%; The domestic installed capacity was 5.3gw, a year-on-year increase of 34%. From January to April, the export of photovoltaic cell module products was US $7.3 billion, a year-on-year increase of more than 30%. According to the prediction of relevant institutions, in 2021, the new installed capacity of global PV is expected to increase significantly to 160 ~ 170gw, of which the new installed capacity in China is about 50 ~ 60GW. With the impact of positive export expansion factors such as the decline of polysilicon and module prices and the new production capacity of photovoltaic glass enterprises, China's photovoltaic module export volume may exceed 90gw or even close to 100gw in 2021, an increase of more than 20% over 2020, and will drive the photovoltaic module export volume to increase by more than 10% over 2020.

According to the statistics of China Chamber of Commerce for import and export of mechanical and electrical products, from January to may 2021, enterprises filed 26 overseas photovoltaic projects, with a project amount of about US $2.32 billion, accounting for about 58.7% of the overseas new energy market. The continuous expansion of overseas photovoltaic power station market will play a stronger driving role in the "going out" of China's photovoltaic industry equipment, technology and operation and maintenance service system.

With the further reduction of wind power development cost, wind power occupies a more and more important position in the global carbon neutral energy system. According to the prediction of the International Renewable Energy Agency, by 2030, the global land wind power generation capacity will increase by three times and the offshore wind power generation capacity will increase by 10 times.

Shi Yonghong pointed out that 2020 is the best year in the history of the wind power industry, with 93gw of new wind power installed worldwide, an increase of 53% over 2019. With the technological progress and the expansion of industrial scale, the global installed capacity of wind power has been nearly four times that of ten years ago, and wind energy has become one of the most competitive power sources in the world. At present, China has formed a competitive whole industry chain of wind power equipment such as wind turbine blades, gearboxes, generators and control systems. The scale of wind power production and installation has ranked first in the world and has become the world's largest wind power equipment manufacturing base. According to the statistics of China Chamber of Commerce for import and export of mechanical and electrical products, in 2020, Chinese enterprises signed 45 overseas wind power projects, with a project amount of US $4.83 billion, an increase of 16.3%. From 2014 to 2020, Chinese enterprises signed 187 overseas wind power projects with a total contract amount of US $18.81 billion.

At present, China's photovoltaic industry is developing rapidly, but there are also some problems, such as prominent supply contradiction in the industrial chain, high technical barriers, fierce industry competition and so on. At the same time, there are still some shortcomings in China's cognitive level, policy tools, measures and basic capabilities to deal with climate change. It needs to make arduous efforts to achieve the carbon peak goal and the vision of carbon neutralization.

"The 14th five year plan is a critical and window period for reaching the peak of carbon, as well as an exploration stage and start-up stage for planning and promoting carbon neutralization. We hope to give full play to the role of the chamber of Commerce for Electromechanical industry, strengthen communication and exchange with the new energy international investment alliance, based on the practice with Chinese characteristics, jointly carry out systematic research on the photovoltaic industry, promote industrial transformation, upgrading and innovative development, promote the practice of foreign investment and the improvement of financing and insurance support policies, and realize benign interaction and cooperation, Make suggestions for China's future sustainable development and contribute to the realization of high-quality development. " Shi Yonghong said.

It is understood that at the beginning of this year, China Chamber of Commerce for the import and export of mechanical and electrical products officially launched the construction of international industrial cooperation mechanism, hoping to effectively integrate high-quality resources from all parties, build the whole industrial chain, the whole value chain and the whole service process, cooperate with the national strategy and serve the government governance, and build a new non-governmental international exchange and cooperation promotion service platform.
