According to the latest forecast report of the market research company Dell'Oro Group, during the 2020-2025 forecast period, the cumulative revenue of the global radio access network (RAN) is expected to be close to 250 billion US dollars to meet the growing 5G demand.

Stefan Pongratz, vice president and analyst of Dell'Oro Group, said: "The global growth momentum that began in the second half of 2018 has become deeper and stronger, and has driven the overall RAN market to continue to grow unexpectedly. Despite the surprising upward trend in the market Growth trend, but we believe that as early adopters continue to roll out 5G at an extraordinary speed, there is still room for expansion in the short term, which has led us to revise up our previous outlook for the next five-year period."

The unexpected surge in RAN is mainly driven by 5G NR. LTE is roughly in line with the forecast, but 5G NR revenue has achieved accelerated growth.

· 5G NR RAN revenue will be close to 150 billion to 200 billion U.S. dollars. During the forecast period of 2020-2025, cumulative base station shipments are expected to exceed 30 million.

The global shipment of macro base stations and small cell transceivers is close to 800 million.
