The reporter learned from the National Energy Administration a few days ago that as of the end of July, the country’s installed power generation capacity reached 2.27 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%. The installed capacity of power generation continued the green development trend. Among them, the installed capacity of wind power was 290 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 34.4%, and the installed capacity of solar power generation was 270 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%.
From January to July, the country’s newly-added installed power generation capacity was 68.25 million kilowatts, equivalent to the installed capacity of three Three Gorges power stations. Among them, 11.73 million kilowatts of hydropower, 22.47 million kilowatts of thermal power, 3.4 million kilowatts of nuclear power, 12.57 million kilowatts of wind power, and 17.94 million kilowatts of solar power. The newly installed capacity of hydropower, nuclear power, wind power, and solar power all increased year-on-year. Capacity decreased year-on-year.
