The reduction of carbon dioxide emissions exceeds 700 million tons, which is equivalent to the annual carbon dioxide absorption of 370 million ordinary adult trees.

At the same time, China Southern Power Grid promotes a green and low-carbon transition, gives full play to the role of large-scale grid resource optimization, and continues to carry out special actions for clean energy consumption, leading the country in clean energy consumption. In 2020, the utilization rate of water energy in the five southern provinces and regions will exceed 99.5%, and the utilization rate of wind power and photovoltaic power generation will both reach 99.7%, basically achieving full consumption.

Promoting the accelerated development of non-fossil energy is an important measure to build a new power system with new energy as the mainstay. Practitioner of energy saving and carbon reduction

Power loss is inevitable in the process of power transmission. China Southern Power Grid has improved the digital and intelligent level of power transmission and distribution loss management. Over the past five years, it has reduced a total of 32.7 billion kilowatt-hours of power loss, which is equivalent to the electricity consumption of Hainan Province in one year and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 17 million tons.

Pursue higher energy efficiency and serve the society to improve energy efficiency. In terms of helping the green and low-carbon development of the transportation industry, since the 13th Five-Year Plan, China Southern Power Grid has built more than 40,000 charging piles, built a rapid charging network between the Pearl River Delta and the Hainan Island roundabout, and opened up high-speed charging from Beijing to the Pearl River Delta. Internet; build a charging service platform "Shunyi Charging" to provide convenient and efficient charging services for 1 million users, and electric vehicles can run unimpeded.

For every 1 percentage point increase in the proportion of electricity in the final energy consumption, energy consumption per unit of GDP can drop by about 4%. Electricity in the five southern provinces and regions will account for 32% of final energy consumption in 2020, which is higher than the national average.

There are nearly 3,000 artificial bird nests on the Hainan transmission line of China Southern Power Grid, realizing the harmonious coexistence of nesting, breeding, habitat and safe and stable operation of the power grid. China Southern Power Grid established a mangrove egret protection team, which has planted more than 4,000 mangroves in the past 9 years, rescued more than 700 egrets, and silently guarded the ecological environment of the Beibu Gulf in Guangxi.
