Recently, two national Internet backbone direct connection points, Jinan and Qingdao, were inaugurated.

It is reported that with the completion and opening of Jinan and Qingdao direct connection points at the same time, the number of national backbone direct connection points in China has reached 19, further optimizing the network architecture, providing favorable conditions and creating a good environment for enhancing the basic network capacity, stimulating the new application of new technologies and promoting the intelligent upgrading of various industries.

The completion and opening of Jinan and Qingdao direct connection points at the same time has also made Shandong a "double hub" province with two national direct connection points. After the opening, the inter provincial network delay will not exceed 30 milliseconds, and the inter network packet loss rate will be controlled below 0.01%, greatly improving the speed and quality of inter network communication, and laying a solid network foundation for the development of "new infrastructure" such as industrial Internet and big data center.

It is understood that the Internet backbone direct connection point is a key hub for network interconnection and an important part of the national information infrastructure. It is mainly used to converge and dredge regional and even national inter network communication traffic. It is the top-level key link of China's Internet inter network interconnection architecture.

Xiaoyaqing, Minister of the Ministry of industry and information technology, stressed that all Internet backbone direct connection points should give full play to their role of aggregation and radiation, actively explore good experiences and practices of integrated application, help transform old and new kinetic energy, and support high-quality economic and social development. Each interconnection unit shall strictly implement the quality and safety management requirements of the interconnection infrastructure, strengthen the operation and maintenance, monitoring and early warning, improve the emergency response capacity, and ensure the continuous safe, stable and efficient operation of the direct connection point.
