In November 2017, ZTE Energy Co., Ltd. invested in the construction of "ZTE Energy Punjab 3, Pakistan × 100 MW photovoltaic power station project "won the Luban Prize of China Construction Engineering. This project is also the first new energy project that has completed financing, grid connected power generation, and obtained electricity payment from Pakistan in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, playing a demonstration role in the construction of the "the Belt and Road" China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

In August 2019, CLP International Hub 1320 MW Power Station Project passed the commissioning test and began commercial operation. The project is a key cooperation project of the "China Pakistan Economic Corridor".

In September 2021, Mera DC transmission project will be officially put into commercial operation. Mera HVDC transmission project is the first HVDC transmission project in Pakistan, the only power transmission and transformation project in the list of priority projects in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, and the first project in Pakistan to open to foreign investment in the field of power transmission and transformation. On June 29, 2022, Karot Hydropower Station, the first hydropower investment project in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor invested and developed by China Three Gorges Corporation, was put into full commercial operation. Karot Hydropower Station is a priority project for energy cooperation in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor and the first large-scale hydropower investment project. It is also a hydropower investment project written into the joint statement of the Chinese and Pakistani governments.

In October 2022, the commercial operation unveiling ceremony of Thar Block II Coal Electricity Integration Project was held.
