The export of household energy storage equipment grew by more than 700%. It is worth noting that the demand for household energy storage equipment in Europe surged, and the export of domestic related enterprises also rose significantly. According to the statistics of Taizhou Customs, since this year, the export volume of household energy storage equipment in Taizhou has increased by more than 700% year on year, which has been continuing to improve.

Since the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, energy supply in Europe has remained tight, electricity prices have remained high, energy storage demand has ushered in an outbreak, and household energy storage equipment has experienced a blowout growth.

Europe's energy bill is 90% higher than last year

The latest data of the household energy price index HEPI shows that the prices of electricity and natural gas are soaring across Europe, and the bills of most European countries have doubled over last year.

According to the data collected by HEPI, the gas bill in Europe has increased by 111% in the past year, and the electricity price has increased by 69% on average. Taken together, Euronews calculates that these two factors have increased household energy bills by 90% in the past year.

The author of HEPI's latest report pointed out: "Compared with a year ago, (energy prices) have risen significantly... This can be attributed to a variety of factors, such as increased demand related to post epidemic economic recovery and abnormal weather conditions, record high natural gas prices and high carbon dioxide emission limits."

The high energy bill gives European governments a headache: strikes and protests are increasing, and dissatisfaction with energy policies is growing. Due to the energy crisis, the cost of living in most parts of Europe has been very high. After the EU embargoes on oil and fuel, the crisis will only get worse.

Export of household energy storage equipment increased by more than 700%

It is worth noting that the demand for household energy storage equipment in Europe has surged, and the export of domestic related enterprises has also risen significantly.

According to customs data, household energy storage system, also known as household energy storage system, is similar to micro energy storage power station, and its operation is not affected by urban power supply pressure.

Generally speaking, a set of household energy storage equipment can be simply imagined as a super large charging treasure. One end of the equipment is connected to several groups of energy storage batteries with a controller, and the other end is connected to the power grid with an inverter.

Such equipment can be charged at a time when the electricity price is low. When the electricity price is high or the power is cut off, it can cut the peak and fill the valley. It is reported that the device can store up to 14 kilowatt hours of electricity at a time, which can be used for more than half a month by a double door refrigerator.

In addition, this kind of device has a more advanced use. By combining the household energy storage device with the photovoltaic module on the roof, you can realize solar power consumption at home.

In Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, in the workshop of an energy storage enterprise in the industrial park, all production lines are at full load.

The field staff said, "The enterprise mainly produces the supporting energy storage equipment for home roof photovoltaic. This year, the European market's demand for energy storage is much higher than that of the same period of previous years. The average shipment of the enterprise has increased by 120% compared with the first half of the year. At present, the enterprise is stepping up the rush, and the order schedule has been scheduled to the end of next year."

The person in charge of production and operation of another energy storage enterprise in Jiangsu also said that orders would at least quadruple next year. Due to too many orders, the company added three production lines in the first half of this year to increase production capacity.

Export growth exceeded 700%! Such products have experienced blowout growth

In Taizhou, Jiangsu, every corner of a production workshop is full of products. There were only a few people on the production line last year, but now it has increased to more than 20 people. As the production capacity is in short supply, the employees have to change from one shift to two shifts.

According to the statistics of Taizhou Customs, since this year, the export volume of household energy storage equipment in Taizhou has increased by more than 700% year on year, which has been continuing to improve.

According to customs data, in the first three quarters of this year, the total export value of household energy storage equipment in Suzhou Industrial Park reached 1.5 billion yuan, up 79% year on year, especially in the third quarter, up 84% year on year, mainly exported to European markets, including Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Austria and other countries.

The global energy storage market continues to improve

At present, the global energy storage market is in a period of rapid growth, in which user side energy storage is one of the important driving forces.

From the perspective of the whole power system, the application scenarios of energy storage can be divided into three major scenarios: energy storage on the generation side, energy storage on the transmission and distribution side, and energy storage on the power consumption side. According to BNEF statistics, in global energy storage applications, household demand is basically stable between 20% and 30%, far higher than that of industry and commerce.

The scale of household storage and installation in Europe is constantly increasing. According to customs data, the household storage in Europe will reach 2045MWh in 2021, an increase of 73% year on year. The compound annual growth rate from 2015 to 2021 will reach 63%, a very rapid growth.

Among them, Germany is the largest driving force for the growth of household storage in Europe. In 2021, the installed capacity of household storage in Germany will reach 1479MWh, accounting for 72% of the total household storage in Europe.

Cinda Securities pointed out that, in an ideal situation, with the continuous promotion of distributed photovoltaic installation and the continuous improvement of household storage economy, the new installed capacity of global household storage will reach 159.1GW in 2026, about 25 times that of 2021, and the five-year compound annual growth rate will be 91%.

The new installed capacity of household storage in China is expected to increase rapidly after household storage products are introduced into the market. It is estimated that, ideally, it will reach 2.39GW by 2026.

In terms of market space, according to the household storage system of 1 dollar/Wh (6.7 yuan/Wh), it is estimated that the global new household storage machines will bring 2.5 trillion yuan of market space in the five years from 2022 to 2026, including 1.1 trillion yuan in 2026.
