A few days ago, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the economic operation of the software industry from January to November 2022. According to customs statistics, from January to November, China's software and information technology service industry ran steadily and well, with software business revenue of 9467.2 billion yuan, up 10.4% year on year. The total profit was 1114 billion yuan, up 6.9% year on year. The export of software business was USD 47.2 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 4.9%.

In terms of different fields, the revenue of software products grew steadily. According to customs data, the revenue of software products from January to November was 2292.3 billion yuan, up 9.6% year on year. The income from information technology services has maintained rapid growth. The income from information technology services was 6153.5 billion yuan, up 10.8% year on year. The growth rate of information security revenue has been stable and declining. The revenue from information security products and services was 174.5 billion yuan, up 9.4% year on year. The revenue growth of embedded system software accelerated. The revenue of embedded system software was 846.9 billion yuan, up 10.4% year on year.

By region, the revenue of software business in the eastern region has accelerated growth, while the growth in the central region is leading. According to customs data, from January to November, the revenue from software business in the eastern region was 7794.6 billion yuan, up 9.7% year on year. The revenue from software business in central China reached 460.3 billion yuan, up 16.4% year on year. The revenue from software business in the western region was RMB 997.7 billion, up 13.7% year on year. The revenue from software business in Northeast China reached 214.5 billion yuan, up 8.3% year on year.

The revenue share of major software provinces increased slightly. According to customs data, from January to November, among the top five provinces in software business revenue, Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong and Shanghai had software revenue of 1959.9 billion yuan, 1576 billion yuan, 1141.8 billion yuan, 1011.5 billion yuan and 818.1 billion yuan, respectively, up 9.3%, 10.5%, 7.5%, 18.9% and 9.7%.

The growth rate of software business income in central cities has increased steadily. According to customs data, from January to November, 15 sub provincial central cities in China achieved software business revenue of 4715.1 billion yuan, an increase of 8.8% year on year, 0.4 percentage points higher than that from January to October, accounting for 49.8% of the national software business revenue, 0.8 percentage points lower than that of the same period last year.
