Recently, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands, Schreinermacher, announced in a letter to the Dutch Parliament that he would restrict the international trade and export of semiconductor technology to protect national security. At a regular press conference held on the 16th by the Ministry of Commerce, a press spokesman expressed the hope that the Netherlands would proceed from its long-term interests and the principles of fair and equitable markets, strictly abide by international trade and economic rules, and not abuse export restrictions in international trade.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce said that China has taken note of the relevant situation. China and the Netherlands have recently maintained communication on bilateral economic and trade cooperation and related issues. In recent years, in order to maintain their own hegemony, individual countries have continuously generalized the concept of national security, misused international trade export control measures, and even sacrificed the interests of their allies to coerce some countries to adopt trade protection measures against China, artificially promoting industrial decoupling and chain breaking, seriously impeding the recovery and development of the world economy.
"We hope that the Netherlands will proceed from its long-term interests and the principles of fair and equitable markets, abide by international trade and economic rules, refrain from abusing export restrictions, work with China to maintain the stability of the global industrial chain supply chain, and safeguard the common interests of both countries and enterprises.".
