Reuters news on June 9th, a Deloitte report shows that the epidemic has caused the average number of connected devices used by American households to increase from 11 in 2019 to 25, including laptops, smartphones, streaming media devices, smart TVs, Headphones and game consoles.
According to the report, the family has become the center of activity, with children studying at home, playing games online, and adults working at home, participating in video conferences, online shopping, and online medical treatment.
In the Deloitte survey, health has become an important topic, and 58% of households have smart watches or fitness tracking devices. 14% of fitness accessories owners purchased them after the outbreak began. Despite the increase in the number of devices, one-third of respondents admitted that they were overwhelmed by the devices and subscriptions that needed to be managed.
