Smartphone manufacturers such as Samsung, Xiaomi and OPPO, as well as technology suppliers such as Infineon, MediaTek, Samsung SDI and Qualcomm, are using their solutions to promote the popularization of wireless charging. The battery charging speed of these solutions is faster than ever.

Since its launch in 2012, wireless charging technology has transformed from a very niche technology to a demand charging solution for high-end smartphones.

After ten years of double-digit and triple-digit annual sales growth, the market stock of smartphones with wireless charging technology will reach 1 billion units in 2021. With the growing middle class in emerging market countries, the potential market for wireless charging high-end smartphones has expanded. It is estimated that by 2026, the number of smartphones with wireless charging capabilities will exceed 2.2 billion.

In addition, the research report also reveals the data on the regional share of the global wireless charging smart phone market in 2021. The data shows that the Asia-Pacific region leads North America (21% share) and Western Europe (16% share) with a 49% share.
