Also based on this data, gaming laptops account for about 20% of the total laptop sales in the entire market.

According to GfK, FPT SHOP leads the notebook computer market share among chain stores in Vietnam, accounting for 31% of notebook computer sales and 35% of the gaming notebook computer market.

In an interview with ICTnews, Lenovo said that a few years ago, the gaming notebook market had steadily grown by about 50 to 60%. In the past two years, this number has increased by more than 70% on average. Due to travel and travel restrictions caused by the epidemic, users are willing to spend more money on entertainment at home.

In particular, gaming laptops and the entire gaming industry have experienced strong growth in the past 5 to 6 years. When the epidemic occurs, people have to stay at home, resulting in increased demand for games and other entertainment and increased purchasing power of related software and hardware.

One of the reasons for the growth of gaming laptops is that their prices have fallen sharply. Three or four years ago, in order to purchase gaming laptops, gamers had to spend 30 million or more Vietnamese dong to obtain sufficient computer configuration.

However, at this stage, players only need to spend about 20 million VND to buy a gaming laptop. This is due to the popularity of the entire industry, leading game publishers to optimize their games for low-end devices.

A recent report by Adsota shows that the number of ordinary gamers in Vietnam is increasing, especially in the post-epidemic period. The number of game players in Vietnam has increased by 30% compared with the previous period, reaching 3.99 million.

Not only gaming laptops, the general laptop market in Vietnam is also growing. Due to the epidemic, many people have to work and study remotely, resulting in an 80% year-on-year growth in notebook computer growth in the past three months.
