Henan Provincial Statistics Bureau reported on the 19th that in the first half of this year, the province’s total import and export value was 365.66 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), a year-on-year increase of 60.0%. Among them, mobile phone exports were 127.31 billion yuan, accounting for 55.4% of the province’s exports, accounting for "half of the country."

According to statistics from the Henan Provincial Bureau of Statistics, in the first half of the year, Henan Province’s regional GDP was 2,892.796 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.2%.

The reporter combed and found that Henan's economic operation in the first half of the year showed three major characteristics: continuous production recovery, steady improvement in demand, and innovation-driven effectiveness.

It is worth mentioning that the total import and export value of Henan Province in the first half of the year was 365.66 billion yuan, an increase of 60.0% year-on-year, which was 32.9 percentage points higher than the national average. Among them, exports were 229.61 billion yuan, an increase of 56.7%; imports were 136.05 billion yuan, an increase of 65.8%. Mobile phones, labor-intensive products, and human hair products are the main export products. Among them, mobile phone exports accounted for 55.4% of the province's exports, and the number and value of mobile phone exports accounted for 8.4% and 30.2% of the country's total.

Henan Province has achieved good results in import and export. The latest news released by Zhengzhou Customs also shows that in the first half of this year, Henan Province ranked first in the central provinces in terms of total import and export value. The United States, the European Union, ASEAN, South Korea and Taiwan of China are Henan's top five trading partners. The vitality of private enterprises' foreign trade continued to increase, becoming the largest contributor to the province's foreign trade growth.

“In the first half of the year, Henan’s export-oriented economy’s kinetic energy to participate in international competition was released, and its vitality was stimulated.” Song Xiangqing, vice president of the China Business Economics Association, analyzed that private enterprises have performed extremely prominently in the process of driving the continuous increase in Henan’s total import and export value. It not only shows that Henan's policy of opening up to the outside world has benefited private enterprises and stimulated private enterprises to participate in the domestic and international dual cycle on a large scale. It also shows that the strength and effectiveness of Henan's opening to the outside world have been recognized by the international market.
