According to the latest report data released by market research organization Canalys, the smartphone market in Mainland China reached 74.9 million units in the second quarter of 2021, a year-on-year decrease of 17%. Among them, manufacturers with shipments of more than 10 million units have been reduced from 5 to 3.

In the second quarter of 2021, the top five manufacturers in China's mainland smartphone market shipments are: vivo, OPPO, Xiaomi, Apple, and Honor.
In the second quarter of 2021, vivo shipped 18.2 million units in the smartphone market in mainland China, an increase of 23% year-on-year, and its market share ranked first with 24%.
OPPO shipped 16 million units in the Chinese mainland smartphone market in the second quarter of 2021, an increase of 10% year-on-year, with a market share of 21% ranking second.
In the second quarter of 2021, Xiaomi shipped 12.6 million units in the smartphone market in mainland China, a year-on-year increase of 35%, with a market share of 17%. Xiaomi replaced Huawei as the third.
In the second quarter of 2021, Apple shipped 7.9 million units in the Chinese mainland smartphone market, an increase of 2% year-on-year, and its market share ranked fourth with 10%.
In the second quarter of 2021, Glory shipped 6.9 million smartphones in the mainland China market, down 46% year-on-year. Glory entered the top five with a strong growth of 40% in the second quarter after independent operations. And Huawei fell out of the top five in the Chinese market for the first time in seven years.
Canalys pointed out that the Chinese market entered a "cooling-off period" in the second quarter after experiencing a boom in the first quarter. In the first half of 2021, the overall shipment of China's smartphone market was 167 million units, which was a 9.9% contraction compared with the 185 million units in the first half of 2019 that were not affected by the epidemic. The replacement cycle of mobile phone users is gradually extending, and the driving force of 5G technology to replace smart phones will be further weakened. The market is waiting for manufacturers to create new outlets for them. At the same time, a new competitive landscape has gradually formed. Compared with the period dominated by Huawei, the market share of the top five top players has dropped from 95% in 2020 to 82%. The competitive landscape is diverse and flowing. Sex can stimulate market vitality, which is not bad for the Chinese market.
