2021-08-30

Vietnam’s "Customs Online" reported on August 24 that according to the latest statistics from the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam, as of the end of July, foreign-funded enterprises exported 29.52 billion US dollars of mobile phones and their parts, accounting for 99.14% of the total exports of this product.

Vietnam is now the world's leading mobile phone manufacturer Samsung Group's largest mobile phone production base, so this number is understandable.

Among other technology products such as computers, electronic products and their parts, foreign-funded enterprises also dominate, with a contribution rate of 98% (over 27 billion US dollars).

In addition, the export value of machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts was nearly 18.5 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 92.2%; textiles were 11.67 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 63.2%; and footwear reached 9.58 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 81.2%.

Overall, in the first seven months of this year, the total export value of foreign-funded enterprises reached US$136.65 billion, a year-on-year increase of 30.9% (a net increase of US$32.22 billion), accounting for 73.3% of Vietnam’s total exports.
