According to data released by CINNO Research, a market research organization, the terminal shipments of the domestic smartphone SoC market fell to about 17.6 million in April, a year-on-year decrease of about 21.6% and a month-on-month decrease of about 12.1%.
CINNO Research pointed out that the trend of "two super and one strong" pattern of smartphones in China is becoming more and more intense. In April, the concentration of domestic smartphone SoC brands increased. The market share of the top three brands reached about 94.2%, an increase of about 9 percentage points year-on-year and a month-on-month increase of about 1 percentage point.
MediaTek still ranks first in shipments with 7.3 million units, and Qualcomm is still second with about 6.2 million units shipped. However, due to the insufficient performance of the overall Android smartphone market, the shipments of MediaTek and Qualcomm have declined.
In April, while the iPhone 13 series still firmly occupied the top three of the stand-alone list, Apple's SoC terminal shipments remained at around 3 million, and the year-on-year and month-on-month declines were lower than the overall level.
Top 5 Huawei HiSilicon shrank and remained at a low level of 500,000 units, while UNISOC's shipments were about 400,000 units, down about 12.2% month-on-month.
