The factory covers an area of about 200,000 square meters, and the investment is about 80 million US dollars (about 537 million yuan).
In addition to Vietnam, Xiaomi will also export to Southeast Asian regions such as Malaysia and Thailand, the report said. The products produced are not only smartphones, but also components such as data transmission equipment and circuit boards.
IT House learned that Counterpoint Research data shows that in the first quarter of 2022, smartphone shipments in Vietnam fell by 3% year-on-year. Among them, thanks to the Redmi 9 series and the Redmi Note 11 series, Xiaomi ranked second with a share of 20.6%.
