According to the Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation Report, it was reported on October 20 that, according to the Taiwan Economic Daily, the demand for PC fell rapidly. Chen Junsheng, chairman of Acer, a big brand factory, said yesterday that the worst moment had not yet come.
According to the observation of Huacheng import and export data, the PC industry market will "hit the bottom" by the middle of next year, but it will not rebound. Shipments in the first half of 2022 will remain at a high point. Shipments are expected to decline in double digits in the first half of 2023, and tend to be stable in the second half, but this does not represent a recovery.
IT Home learned that Chen Junsheng said Acer's operational goal is "to be steady", focusing on the two indicators of inventory and cash level. In terms of inventory, Acer's inventory amount in the second quarter of this year was about NT $60 billion, with the goal of reducing to the previous normal level of NT $40 billion to NT $50 billion, Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation reported.
Taiwan media pointed out that although the overall market situation of the industry was weak, Acer still had gains in some areas. According to the import and export data, Acer Chromebook's market share has gradually increased since Q1 this year, and ranked first in the world with a market share of 24% in the third quarter, Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation reported.
