"Shenzhen is adjacent to Hong Kong, has a vast hinterland market, a complete internal industrial system, and has a good foundation for building a strong city in international trade, which can make greater contributions to accelerating the construction of a powerful trade country." Nie Zhuqing, chairman of Shenzhen Pengxin Assets Appraisal Land and Real Estate Appraisal Co., Ltd., submitted the Proposal on Supporting Shenzhen to Strengthen International Resource Allocation and Build a Strong City in International Trade to the first meeting of the 14th CPPCC National Committee.
Nie Zhuqing said that the advantages of Shenzhen in building a strong international trade city include four aspects. First, Shenzhen's trade volume ranks among the top in the country, second, its trade radiation capacity is strong, third, its trade structure is relatively good, and fourth, its port business environment is leading in the country.
Nie Zhuqing said that in order to promote the high-quality development of Shenzhen's trade and accelerate the construction of a strong international trade city, Shenzhen has built a Shenzhen natural gas trading center and a soybean offshore spot trading market in the past two years, fully promoting the agglomeration, resource integration and cluster development of enterprises in the upstream and downstream supply chain and industrial chain of relevant commodities. Shenzhen is the top import port of frozen meat and fruit in the country. Every year, a large number of overseas high-quality agricultural products are imported from Shenzhen and then distributed to all parts of the country. However, most of them are distributed to all parts of the country. There is a lack of a cross-border spot trading center for agricultural products that integrates trade matching, cross-border settlement and logistics transportation, and it is impossible to form an influential pricing mechanism.
In his proposal, Nie Zhuqing suggested that the Ministry of Commerce carry out research on the construction of single-category cross-border agricultural products spot trading center, support conditional enterprises to aggregate international trade suppliers and domestic customer resources, pilot the establishment of single-category cross-border agricultural products spot trading center, and strive for the bargaining power of global agricultural products transactions.
