According to customs data, in the first two months of this year, Xinjiang's foreign trade exports reached 38.15 billion yuan, an increase of 91.6%; Import reached 6.24 billion yuan, an increase of 59.8%. Export commodities are mainly concentrated in labor intensive products such as textiles and clothing, shoes and boots, and mechanical and electrical products, which together accounted for 84.6% of Xinjiang's total foreign trade export value during the same period. At the same time, the export momentum of new energy products accelerated to release, with the export of new energy vehicles, lithium batteries, and solar batteries increasing by 735.3%, 59.3%, and 75.8 times, respectively.
According to customs data, in the first two months, the total import and export value of Xinjiang to the five Central Asian countries reached 35.17 billion yuan, an increase of 96.5%, accounting for 79.2% of Xinjiang's total foreign trade import and export value. Among them, Kazakhstan surpassed Kyrgyzstan and became Xinjiang's largest trading partner again, with an increase of 118.9%, accounting for 34.9%; Import and export to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan ranked second and third, with an increase of 76.8% and 151.8% respectively. Over the same period, Xinjiang's import and export to countries along the "the Belt and Road" reached 40.65 billion yuan, an increase of 84.8%, accounting for 91.6%.
According to Urumqi customs data, as of the end of February, there were 15308 registered foreign trade enterprises in Xinjiang, an increase of 7.3%; There were 1276 foreign trade enterprises with import and export performance, an increase of 13.9%. According to customs data, in the first two months, the import and export of private enterprises in Xinjiang reached 42.7 billion yuan, an increase of 99.7%, accounting for 96.2%, driving an increase of 89.5 percentage points in the total import and export value of Xinjiang's foreign trade during the same period.
