On March 14, the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province organized an economic and trade delegation composed of 21 enterprises to participate in the "Third China (Indonesia) Trade Expo 2023 (Spring)" in Indonesia, and conducted a series of international trade and economic exchange activities in Indonesia and Vietnam. Create favorable conditions for enterprises in Jilin Province to deeply explore the ASEAN market, expand international trade exchanges, and expand cooperation space.

ASEAN has become China's largest international trading partner for three consecutive years. Especially against the backdrop of the formal entry into force of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP), the new policy dividend has promoted the sustained acceleration of trade growth between China and the ASEAN region. This time, the economic and trade delegation of Jilin Province visited 21 enterprises, covering multiple fields such as auto parts, industrial and chemical products, textiles, medical supplies, food additives, food and agricultural products. During the visit, the delegation will conduct economic and trade exchanges and discussions with the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, Ho Chi Minh City Industry and Trade Bureau in Vietnam, and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, and conduct field visits to industrial parks with high industrial relevance between the two countries and the province. From March 16 to 18, representatives of enterprises such as Kemon Chemical Fiber, Jilin COFCO Biochemical, FAW East Machinery, Fuyao Group Changchun Company, and Xuyang Industry will also participate in the "2023 Third China (Indonesia) Trade Expo (Spring)" held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, since this year, overseas international exhibitions have been fully restarted, and the demand for enterprises across the province to explore the international trade market is even more urgent. Jilin Province seizes the favorable opportunity for the recovery of the global exhibition platform, fully supports enterprises to take full advantage of the investment promotion advantages of the international exhibition platform, actively strive for orders, connect investment, deepen cooperation, promote the agglomeration and interaction of advantageous industries, high-quality products, and main marketing markets, and continuously expand the channels for export sales and industrial cooperation of high-quality products in Jilin Province. The Ministry of Commerce of Jilin Province will provide support to outbound exhibitors in terms of booth fees, international trade logistics and transportation during the China (Indonesia) Trade Expo attended by the delegation.

It is understood that since the introduction of the RCEP comprehensive docking action plan in Jilin Province, the provincial commercial departments have carried out multi-level special training and online promotion activities. Throughout 2022, the bilateral trade volume between Jilin Province and Indonesia and Vietnam reached US $210 million and US $180 million respectively, with year-on-year growth of 37.3% and 194%.

In the next step, the business department of Jilin Province will also strengthen communication and contacts with foreign trade promotion departments, business associations, and well-known enterprises, establish platforms, strengthen exchanges, and promote cooperation, so that more international merchants can better understand and promote Jilin, so that more Jilin famous products can go abroad and internationally, and more large, strong, and good enterprises can enter and invest in Jilin, achieving more win-win cooperation.
