In recent years, cross-border e-commerce, as one of the new forms and models of China's foreign trade, has shown vigorous development vitality. As an important support for the development of cross-border e-commerce, express companies are also actively responding to market demand, striving to expand overseas business, and accelerating the pace of "going global". Sudafei Logistics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Sudafei) is one of them.
Sudafei was invested and founded by Zhongtong Express Co., Ltd. as one of the original shareholders in 2019. Unlike other express delivery companies in their journey from "shipping across the country" to "shipping around the world," Sudafei has been focusing on one-stop door-to-door logistics services in emerging markets since its inception, and "born" carries its own "going global" label.
Dou Hua, sales manager of Suda Feifei, said that during the four years of development, Suda Feifei has made many achievements, and the biggest highlight is that it has built a complete international logistics channel and network at the infrastructure level in emerging markets in Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia, from the first kilometer in China to the last kilometer in the territory country. At the same time, digital and systematic capacity building has also been continuously improved as business operations mature.
In Dou Hua's view, Africa, the Middle East and South Asia are important regions along the "the Belt and Road", and also key regions to build a new development pattern of "double circulation". In recent years, bilateral trade and investment cooperation between China and these emerging markets have continued to grow, laying a good foundation for the further cultivation of Suda Africa.
Dou Hua believes that international logistics, as a part of the international trade ecological chain, focuses on serving business flows. China's economic and trade cooperation with emerging markets has gradually increased, providing strong confidence in continuing to invest in the construction of logistics infrastructure.
As a member of China's express delivery enterprises, Sudafei not only accelerates the construction of overseas warehouses, helps e-commerce platforms, cross-border sellers, and manufacturing enterprises prepare goods in advance, but also devotes itself to establishing warehouse distribution networks, such as establishing distribution centers, distribution centers, outlets, and self delivery points, carrying out warehouse distribution integration business, and bringing the service model of China's express delivery abroad.
Speaking of the similarities and differences between the construction of local, sea, and air service networks in emerging markets and connecting China to emerging markets, Dou Hua said that the similarities between local express delivery networks and international transportation networks lie in the consistency of service standards and service requirements, that is, all capacity building is carried out around the "stable timeliness" of the core lifeline of the logistics industry. As an industry that provides goods performance services in trade, delivering goods on time, safely, and reliably is the common pursuit of both local and international transportation.
"Of course, there are many differences in operational and technical details between local express delivery and international transportation, especially in the construction of local networks, the distribution of central warehouses, distribution centers, regional distribution points, and outlets, as well as the recruitment and training of courier teams, which are different from standardized international transportation services and need to be adjusted based on the characteristics of the country of origin," Dou Hua said.
It is worth noting that the international logistics industry has a long chain of links, involving domestic transportation, customs declaration, international trade and transportation, as well as customs clearance, warehousing, transportation and distribution in destination countries. Enterprises often need to establish extensive cooperative relationships with other partners in the ecological chain. Dou Hua introduced that Sudafei has built a complete international logistics and international express ecological network through self construction, cooperation, and other forms to serve Chinese enterprises going to sea.
The reporter learned that through launching strategic cooperation with Nigeria Post, the first batch of 27 trunk vehicles newly purchased by SPDA Africa were officially put into use as a joint brand. This indicates that the two sides will continue to conduct all-round cooperation in trunk vehicles, delivery cabinets, and automated transit construction, and continue to promote local e-commerce logistics reform and improve consumer experience.
In addition, Sudafei has also reached cooperation with the cross-border collection platform OnPay. Based on the foreign trade business scenario and with logistics+collection as the core, both parties jointly provide customers with services such as logistics, warehousing, local delivery, fund collection and payment, improve the efficiency of fund settlement, and achieve efficient operation of the platform. This cooperation not only solves the collection pain points of enterprises going overseas to Africa, but also provides support for international trade enterprises to go overseas and establish a foothold in Africa through the organic linkage between logistics enterprises and payment institutions, and overall optimization from the infrastructure level.
"China is becoming increasingly important in global economic and trade activities, especially in the emerging markets we have laid out. As a part of trade, the logistics industry is a source of our confidence." Dou Hua said, "At the same time, the new changes in the international trade situation since the post epidemic era also require us to proactively adjust and adapt. With the emergence of more and more global enterprises in China, Sudafei will continue to focus on emerging market areas, open more logistics and express delivery channels, improve local service capabilities, and pave the way for Chinese international trade enterprises to go to sea in terms of logistics performance."
