This year, Hubei will continue to optimize the international trade logistics channel system, focusing on supporting the construction of seven routes, namely, Wuhan Ningbo, Wuhan Xiamen, Wuhan Qinzhou, Wuhan Nansha rail sea intermodal transportation channels, Wuhan Russia Oriental Port, Wuhan ASEAN direct shipping routes, and Wuhan Laos China Europe Express. Recently, the Hubei Provincial Department of Commerce (Provincial Port Office) held a symposium on international logistics channels in Wuhan. The conference pointed out that Hubei is promoting the construction of a modern logistics system and a modern industrial system. This year, it will explore innovation in the integration of industry and logistics, innovate logistics organizational forms, and help logistics enterprises improve their service industry capabilities. At the same time, we should enhance customs clearance efficiency, reduce customs clearance costs, and optimize the business environment of international trade ports.
In recent years, relying on infrastructure such as the golden waterway of the Yangtze River, international railways, and international airports, Hubei has established an international trade and logistics system supported by direct ocean shipping, river sea intermodal transportation, rail sea intermodal transportation, and international aviation, forming a central land, sea, and air corridor that connects Europe and the United States, radiates Central Asia, connects Japan and South Korea, and connects ASEAN.
Among the inland provinces in the central and western regions, the number of ports in Hubei ranks among the top. Focusing on "one center", "one node", and "two hubs", the province expands its area with points and lines, relying on ports to expand international trade and logistics channels, and continuously improves channel construction.
In 2022, Wuhan Yangluo Port Russia Orient Port, Huangshi New Port South Korea Busan International Direct Line, China Laos Railway (Wuhan Luang Prabang) International Freight Trains will be opened, and Wuhan Ningbo rail sea intermodal transport will achieve "two shifts a week" normal operation.
It is understood that in 2022, the work of Hubei ports reached a new level, with the total import and export freight volume (including customs transfer) reaching 15.4321 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.0%; There were 137300 entry-exit personnel, a year-on-year increase of 49.5%.
Since 2022, many enterprises have increased their investment layout in Hubei, deeply participated in the development of international trade logistics in Hubei, promoted business model innovation, and opened up a new track of logistics organization. Wuhan Ningbo sea-rail intermodal transportation and other routes, with a shipment volume exceeding 10000 boxes last year; Hubei has helped export new energy vehicles in the form of container freight for the first time, opening up a new path for the export of new energy vehicles in Hubei; In addition, it has also opened the logistics channel from Jiangxi to Busan, South Korea, via Wuhan, and promoted the connection between Hanya Direct Airlines and China Europe Express (Wuhan).
