In order to continue deepening bilateral investment cooperation between China and Singapore, the 2023 China Singapore Interconnection New International Trade Channel (Guangxi Singapore) Economic and Trade Cooperation Symposium was held in Singapore on April 3, with the theme of "Land Sea Connectivity, Destiny and Co existence".

This meeting has established a communication and cooperation platform for enterprises from both Guangxi and Singapore, aiming to enhance the friendship between entrepreneurs from both sides, further strengthen deep cooperation in the economic and trade fields, and actively promote the participation of Singapore and other countries in the construction and operation of the land sea new channel. Liu Ning pointed out in his speech that Guangxi is the forefront and window of China's open cooperation with ASEAN and member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP), and an important node hub for new international trade channels. This year, Guangxi will fully promote the construction of new channels, complete major infrastructure projects with an investment of 70 billion yuan, handle 8 million TEUs of containers at the Beibu Gulf Port, operate 9000 sea rail intermodal trains, and have an international trade cargo and mail throughput of 100000 tons at Nanning Airport. This will comprehensively improve the level of channel infrastructure and modernization of the Beibu Gulf gateway port, forming the shortest time and best service connection between China and ASEAN The new international trade channel with the best price provides broad business opportunities for ASEAN enterprises, including Singapore, to invest and prosper.

Chen Jiehao stated that Guangxi is an important hub node for the new land sea trade channel. Singapore sincerely welcomes Guangxi enterprises to invest and develop in Singapore, further expanding and deepening cooperation between the two sides in various fields such as trade and investment, port and shipping logistics, digital economy, and financial industry.

At the meeting, Guangxi Pinglu Canal Group made its first international themed presentation on the Pinglu Canal project. Representatives of enterprises from both Guangxi and Singapore also had in-depth exchanges on port and shipping logistics, industrial investment, and other fields, fully demonstrating the beautiful vision of deepening cooperation between Guangxi and Singapore. This meeting will promote new highlights in the cooperation between Guangxi and Singapore in areas such as trade and investment, industrial cooperation, supply chain logistics, and channel digitization, and promote a closer, safer, and smoother partnership between Guangxi and Southeast Asia in terms of industrial chain, supply chain, and value chain cooperation.

It is reported that from April 2nd to 4th, a Guangxi economic and trade delegation went to Singapore to carry out economic and trade exchange activities. During this period, the economic and trade delegation focused on discussing cooperation, expanding channels, and promoting trade. They visited the Business Office of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore and inspected enterprises and business associations such as Weiyi Technology City and Singapore's Tuas Port. Focusing on industries such as bulk commodities, international trade logistics, new energy, food and jewelry processing, we have signed 30 projects with Singaporean companies with a total contract amount of approximately 13.1 billion yuan.
