A new platform has been added for the development of open economy in Wuhu. On May 10th, the construction of the Wuhu International Trade Innovation Industrial Park project (Phase I) began. The project will provide standardized factory buildings, warehousing, and research and development office space to meet the needs of "bonded+" new business formats and international trade and other enterprises to "move in".

Wuhu International Trade Innovation Industrial Park is one of the top ten innovation parks in the city and also a key project for the construction of Wuhu People's City this year. The total land area of the project is approximately 202 acres, with a total investment of approximately 1.52 billion yuan. The first phase covers an area of 73 acres and has an investment of approximately 600 million yuan. It will construct two four story standard factories, a two story bonded warehouse, and an international trade center building. The project will focus on the industrial field of "bonded trade+cross-border e-commerce+service trade" and build a "3 bases and 1 platform" industrial functional system to meet the operational and development needs of cross-border e-commerce, bonded display of imported goods, bonded testing and maintenance, bonded R&D services, bonded remanufacturing, bonded financing leasing, bonded delivery of goods, bonded goods storage, and other "bonded+" new business formats and international trade enterprises.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Wuhu Area Management Committee of the Anhui Pilot Free Trade Zone, after the operation of the Wuhu International Trade Innovation Industrial Park, it will focus on introducing export-oriented economic enterprises and leading enterprises, expanding the "bonded+" new business format, and creating new growth points for foreign trade; Promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional foreign trade and cultivate new driving forces for foreign trade development; Build a landmark platform for export-oriented economic development in the Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and empower and increase efficiency for the city's high-level opening-up and high-quality development.

It is reported that the Wuhu International Trade Innovation Industrial Park is also the first new industrial land (M0) project in Wuhu City, making new and beneficial explorations to promote the conservation and intensive use of land resources in the city. New industrial land (M0) refers to land that integrates research and development, creativity, design, pilot testing, testing, pollution-free production, productive consulting services, and other significant innovative industrial functions and related supporting services.
