Before the 133rd Canton Fair, we were actually not so optimistic about the foreign trade situation this year. This is because our orders in February were much better than in the past, but in March, due to the international trade situation and other reasons, there was a decline in orders, which made me have a wait-and-see attitude towards this year's foreign trade.
At this Canton Fair, the customer's response gave me more confidence in the future. I have met many clients that I haven't seen in many years, and found that they are still as enthusiastic as before. Everyone's trust is still at the same level, and the clients are still willing to cooperate with us. We have also contacted a large number of new international clients, with over 100 clients just two days before the opening ceremony. These customers also come from a wide range of sources, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Russia, Latin America, North Africa, and so on. And in some places, even if customers cannot come by themselves, they entrust domestic buyers to come and connect with us. But most importantly, I found that the customer's demand is quite considerable. Just two days before the launch, we received many intended orders, such as an Indonesian customer who had initially set a demand of around $1 million per year.
Through the Canton Fair, I feel that there is still room for growth in emerging markets. Firstly, there is a saying that goes "the latecomers come first". Some emerging countries were originally relatively backward, but now they are learning from the European, American, and Chinese markets, and are following the latter in terms of products and equipment. The latter can use whatever they want. For example, now Indian schools are beginning to learn from China to use electronic classrooms, Türkiye and Egypt are also learning from the equipment used in domestic conference rooms, and copying the displays used by Chinese young people, which will bring us more vigorous demand.
In addition, compared to domestic customers, customers in the international trade market prefer "overdraft" consumption, which invisibly accelerates the socio-economic recovery after the epidemic and also promotes the overall recovery of local market demand. New products such as indoor and outdoor splicing walls, esports screens, etc. that we have brought this time have attracted customers' attention.
But I think it remains to be seen whether foreign trade can continue to recover in the future, as whether the cooperation intentions received at the Canton Fair can ultimately be concluded, and how long the repurchase period after the transaction will last, all depend on time to answer. In addition, whether foreign trade can continue to rise depends on the overall environment of the international trade market.
However, I always believe that 'Made in China' in the international trade market will always have an advantage. On the one hand, in terms of price, our products are more affordable compared to European and American products; On the other hand, more importantly, we can customize according to the needs of our customers, either by helping them with labeling or by authorizing our brand to them.
To seize new opportunities, we will further consolidate our own advantages and introduce more new technologies and products. At this Canton Fair, we will not only showcase traditional home televisions, but also expand to commercial displays, indoor and outdoor splicing walls, small home appliances, and medical products. In short, we will continue to explore new scenarios, expand our product line, and explore new growth points in international trade.
