China and Kyrgyzstan are friendly neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, with a common border of about 1100 kilometers. Also in May this year, four Osh container transport vehicles loaded with coal and two bulk coal transport vehicles successfully arrived at the customs supervision warehouse of Xinjiang Qianhai International Logistics Co., Ltd. after customs clearance at Erkeshtam, marking the first connection of overseas coal import procurement channels in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, and new breakthroughs in international coal trade... Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kyrgyzstan for 31 years, the relationship between the two countries has always been moving forward along the track of good neighborliness, friendship, and mutually beneficial cooperation, with fruitful economic cooperation results. China has long maintained Kyrgyzstan's position as the largest trading partner and source of imports. In 2022, the bilateral trade volume reached 15.5 billion US dollars, an increase of 105.6% year-on-year.

The reporter learned that China and Kyrgyzstan are actively negotiating and signing investment cooperation documents in the field of digital economy, expanding international trade cooperation, deeply tapping cooperation potential, expanding trade scale, developing service trade, optimizing international trade structure and processes, and promoting balanced development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation. In addition, China and Kyrgyzstan intend to strengthen cooperation with financial institutions, including opening interbank Correspondent account, carrying out cooperation in payment systems and trade financing instruments, and using local currency for settlement. Kyrgyzstan is one of the first countries to support the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road", and also a demonstration area for the construction of the "the Belt and Road". In the process of jointly building the "the Belt and Road" between China and Kyrgyzstan, remarkable achievements have been made in infrastructure transformation focusing on transportation and energy. In the past 10 years, under the framework of jointly building the "the Belt and Road", China and Kyrgyzstan have jointly implemented a series of infrastructure construction and livelihood projects such as Bishkek municipal road network, China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan highway, Datka Keming transmission and transformation line project, irrigation system reconstruction project, Osh Hospital, etc.
