The new force of international trade, the Asia Pacific business community, is deeply participating in APEC cooperation! On June 17th, the 2023 APEC Business Leaders China Forum was held in Beijing. This forum is hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China International Chamber of Commerce, with the theme of "Creating Higher Quality Sustainable Development". Ren Hongbin stated that APEC, as an important economic cooperation mechanism in the Asia Pacific region, has played an important role in promoting exchanges and cooperation among economies in the region and deepening regional economic integration. I hope that the Asia Pacific business community will continue to contribute to global economic growth and create a stable and smooth global industrial and supply chain; Adhering to the concept of sustainable development and promoting green and low-carbon development in the Asia Pacific region; Adhere to the original intention of cooperation and support the deepening of economic integration in the Asia Pacific region. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) will fully leverage its functions of connecting government and enterprises, integrating internal and external resources, and facilitating supply and demand. It will also strengthen its network of service enterprises, expand its international circle of friends, and actively promote the deep participation of the Chinese business community in APEC cooperation, making new and greater contributions to building a community with a shared future in the Asia Pacific region.

Wang Shouwen stated that APEC is a model of regional economic cooperation and has been committed to promoting regional economic integration and international trade and investment liberalization and facilitation since its establishment, providing more opportunities for the development of the Asia Pacific business community. At present, the Chinese economy has achieved strong recovery and rapid growth after the epidemic, and China will continue to open its doors and actively promote the high-level development of international trade; Adhere to the rule of law, and build an international, market-oriented, and legal business environment; Promote the accession to the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement and create an open, friendly and convenient digital economy policy framework for enterprises; Promote green and low-carbon development, support high-quality, high-tech, and high value-added green and low-carbon product trade, and promote the integration of international and domestic green and low-carbon trade rules.

Zhao Chenxin said that the Asia Pacific region is an important growth pole of the world economy, and China is an important member of the Asia Pacific family. Always adhering to the concept of a Community of Common Destiny, China has actively become an important participant, contributor and leader in the construction of global ecological civilization, and has contributed Chinese wisdom and strength to the sustainable development of the Asia Pacific and the world. In order to meet global challenges and build a Community of Common Destiny, sustainable development has become a global consensus that interprets "peace and development" and connects the world. We hope that all parties can open up and share new opportunities in international trade and economic cooperation in the Asia Pacific region, stimulate new vitality in the development of the Asia Pacific industry through innovation, and lead a new chapter in the development of the Asia Pacific region through green development.

Rebecca stated that in recent years, following the initial achievement of the Bogor Goals, APEC has successively adopted the "Butragaya Vision 2040" and "Bangkok Goals", fully reflecting APEC's high importance to achieving inclusive and sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region. This year, APEC enters the "Year of the United States", and we will continue to focus on the themes of economic and social development resilience, sustainability, and inclusivity, promoting common prosperity in the Asia Pacific region. In recent years, China has played an important role in adhering to sustainable development and promoting regional common prosperity, making positive contributions to ecological environment protection, sustainable industrial development, and promoting research in the field of new energy. Through practical actions, China has demonstrated its ambition to adhere to sustainable development, fulfilled its international commitments in sustainable development, and will still have great potential in the future.

Monica said that in the past period, the world has faced severe challenges in economic development, environmental protection, and other aspects. APEC is an important economic cooperation organization in the Asia Pacific region. Under the APEC cooperation mechanism, it is hoped that all parties will cooperate on key issues such as trade and investment promotion, strengthening public health coordination, sustainable development, Digital transformation, and achieve prosperity in the Asia Pacific region through joint efforts.

Ning Gaoning said that adhering to sustainable development is a global development consensus, which is highly consistent with the new development concept of "innovation, openness, green, coordination and sharing" proposed by China.
