On the occasion of the first anniversary of the Global Development Summit, the "Progress Report on the Implementation of Global Development Initiatives" was released in Beijing. Half of the 32 practical measures have been implemented or achieved early results. The total number of practical cooperation projects in the project library has exceeded 100. Nearly 40 developing countries are benefiting from these initiatives. China's series of practical measures to promote international trade development have brought tangible benefits to all countries, especially developing countries.

In today's world, various risks overlap, and the global development process is facing severe challenges.     UN Secretary General Guterres praised that the Global Development Initiative is of great positive significance in promoting global equality and balanced sustainable development.

Development is an eternal theme of human society and a broad consensus among countries around the world under the current situation. As the world's largest developing country, China has always placed its own development in the coordinate system of human development, creating new opportunities for world development through its own development, and spare no effort to provide Chinese wisdom for accelerating the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, injecting Chinese momentum into promoting the common development of global international trade.

Urgent people to solve development challenges. China sympathizes with the poverty and suffering of other developing countries. For a long time, China has provided support for developing countries to solve their development problems in various forms. China has set up and through the "Global Development and South South Cooperation Fund", the "China United Nations Peace and Development Fund" and other channels, jointly implemented assistance projects with nearly 20 international organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme and International non-governmental organization, benefiting tens of millions of people in more than 100 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and other regions. Since October 2021, the "China United Nations Peace and Development Fund" has established two batches of projects under the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda sub fund, meeting the practical needs of many developing countries. Sesana Sittipong, the executive vice chairman of Laos China Cooperation Committee, said that the Global Development Initiative fully embodies the concept of people centred and is a vivid practice of building a Community of Common Destiny in the field of development.

Teach people to fish and enhance their development capabilities. China has increased cooperation in technology and human resource development, adhered to promoting development through knowledge, strengthened the sharing and exchange of development knowledge and experience, and contributed Chinese experience and solutions to capacity building in developing countries. For example, China helps Grenada formulate a national development strategic plan; Provide policy advice on special economic zones, state-owned enterprise reform, and other related policies for Zimbabwe; Assist Cambodia in formulating national road network planning and modern agricultural development planning. By sharing scientific and technological achievements, promoting technology transfer and upgrading professional skills, China has helped developing countries improve their technological innovation capabilities and industrial professional skills. In the past year, the Chinese government has initiated and arranged 1000 human resource development cooperation projects, providing 20000 training slots, covering almost all countries of the "Group of Friends of Global Development Initiatives". Egyptian Ambassador to China Hanafi expressed his sincere gratitude to China for sharing development knowledge with other countries, and firmly believed that the Global Development Initiative will effectively help countries advance the common cause of implementing the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, becoming a platform for sharing development experience and promoting international trade cooperation among countries.

Win win cooperation and promote common development. China actively promotes global development and international trade cooperation, providing important public goods to the world, and providing action guidelines for countries to focus on development, unite development, and work together. In December 2021, the whole line of Laos China Railway, the landmark project of the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road", will be put into operation, and Laos' dream of becoming a land locked country and a land linked country will finally come true. Ten years after the proposal of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, more than three-quarters of the world's countries and 32 international organizations have been attracted to participate in it, stimulating investment of nearly a trillion dollars, forming more than 3000 cooperation projects, creating 420000 jobs for countries along the line, and helping 40 million people out of poverty. The Global Development Initiative has become another public product provided by China to the international community. In the past two years, its concept connotation has been continuously enriched, the implementation mechanism has been continuously improved, the promotion path has been clearer, and practical cooperation has gradually been implemented. At present, more than 100 countries and international organizations have supported the initiative, and nearly 70 countries have participated in the "Group of Friends of Global Development Initiatives". Former Indonesian President of the National Assembly, Mazuki Aliye, believes that China has become an important force in promoting global development.

From jointly building the "the Belt and Road" for international trade to putting forward global development initiatives, from providing ideological guidance to promoting practical cooperation, China has always focused on the long-term goals and practical needs of global common development, gathered international consensus to promote development, cultivated new momentum for global development, and promoted common development and progress of all countries in the world.
