Among them, the export value of Peru to China was 5.475 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 1.8%, mainly due to the increase of 1.1% and 40.3% in copper and zinc exports to China, respectively. However, the export value of iron and fish meal to China decreased by 29.4% and 7%, respectively; The import volume from China reached 2.859 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 20.5%, mainly due to a 38% decrease in the import volume of information technology products such as mobile phones and computers; The trade surplus with China is 2.616 billion US dollars.

China remains the largest trading partner in Peru. Import and export data shows that in the past 12 months, trade between Peru and China accounted for 29.4% of Peru's total foreign trade. China remains the main export destination for Peru's mining and fishery industries, accounting for 51% and 47% of the industry's total exports, respectively.

According to import and export data, from January to March 2023, the total import and export volume of Peru's foreign trade was 26.94 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 6.3%. Among them, the trade volume with the United States, Japan, and South Korea decreased by 2.5%, 22.9%, and 32.3%, respectively, while the trade volume with the European Union and Brazil increased by 5.4% and 12.6%, respectively.

The total export value was 15.436 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 4.8%, mainly due to a decrease of 2.1% in metal mining, 31.8% in energy, and 65.5% in traditional agricultural exports, respectively. Import and export data shows that due to a decrease in imports of intermediate and capital goods, the import volume of secret goods decreased by 8.2% year-on-year to 11.504 billion US dollars, but the import volume of fuel and fertilizer still increased by 2.3% and 6.6% respectively. The trade surplus was 3.932 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 6.8%.

Import and export data shows that in March, the total import and export volume of Peru's foreign trade was 10.022 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 1.6%; The export volume reached 5.803 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%; The import volume was 4.219 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 5.7%; The trade surplus was 1.584 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 72.8%.
