According to customs statistics, in the first half of this year, my country’s imports and exports to countries along the “Belt and Road” reached 5.35 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.5%, 0.4 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate of my country’s foreign trade in the same period, and accounted for 29.6 of my country’s total foreign trade import and export value. %. Exports of "home economy" products, steel products, and automobiles performed well, becoming an important force driving my country's export growth to countries along the "Belt and Road". In the first half of the year, my country’s exports of computers, household appliances, furniture and other “home economy” products to countries along the “Belt and Road” totaled 187.3 billion yuan, an increase of 35.1%; exports of steel products amounted to 127.87 billion yuan, an increase of 47.8%; exports of automobiles and parts were 105.02 billion yuan Yuan, an increase of 54.6%; the export of medical materials and drugs was 42.56 billion yuan, an increase of 95%.

Cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture, and minerals has deepened, and imports of crude oil, agricultural products, and metal ore have increased steadily. In the first half of the year, my country imported 511.46 billion yuan of crude oil from countries along the “Belt and Road”, an increase of 15%; imported agricultural products were 162.57 billion yuan, an increase of 30.9%; and imported metal ore was 109.16 billion yuan, an increase of 56.1%. In addition, imported coal was 58.58 billion yuan, an increase of 38.5%; imported copper was 52.05 billion yuan, an increase of 40.6%.

In addition, the China-Europe express trains played an important role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods between my country and the countries along the “Belt and Road” during the epidemic. According to data from China National Railway Group, in the first half of this year, China-Europe freight trains opened 7,377 and sent 707,000 TEUs, up 43% and 52% year-on-year respectively, and the combined heavy container rate reached 98%. According to customs statistics, in the first half of the year, my country used railway transportation to import and export 209.78 billion yuan to countries along the “Belt and Road”, an increase of 43.1%.
